Marce & Wes's Wedding l Fox Hollow - Lakewood, Colorado

Painting with Love: Light painting at night on the golf course of The Den at Fox Hollow
Hi! I'm Marcela, a Chilean-Canadian woman who just got married to a handsome American guy. I'm now living in Morrison, CO, trying to fit in and be part of this country.
I'm also Diana's guest and helper, so in this opportunity I'm glad to present you my beautiful wedding photos and the story behind them. Hope you enjoy them!! And if you are a bride or a groom, wish you the best for your life.
Playing with long exposures at night.
Our story started in Chile in October 2009, when I was taking English lessons. My husband was my teacher. Nothing happened during the classes, but at the end we express our feelings. Since then our love had never stoped and had grown stronger everyday, giving us so many adventures and special moments we'd never forget. So many times we were separated for life reasons, living in different countries without sharing hugs, laughs or looking in each other eyes for a long time. But here we are, more in love than ever knowing that we are fighters who believe in what love means...respect, commitment, care, sacrifice, selfless service, mutual and personal communication (daily), loyalty, understanding, and something we say in Chile "caminar juntos hacia el mismo norte" - walk together to the same north...and so much more.
Now I leave you with some special wedding's momments captured by Diana on July 28th, 2012.

Boudoir Maternity Portraits

This is something I've always wanted to do, so when Denise asked me to shoot some semi-nude pregnancy photos, I jumped at the idea! Denise had lots of good ideas, so there was a lot of collaboration going on with backdrops, outfits (or non-outfits), etc. I'm SO, so happy with the way that these turned out. Denise is a natural model and knows how to work the camera. The natural light in her Boulder, Colorado home matched the vibe of our images perfectly. We set up a studio in the upstairs area of her house where she had this sweet vintage couch and matching rug. Shabby chic! I love the rich colors and textures. So psyched to keep on doing shoots like this, celebrating beautiful women during a unique time in their lives.

Angela & Michael's Golden Wedding

SEE THE FULL ALBUM HERE (For a limited time)
.

Angela & Michael actually got married this fall. It was a surprise wedding. They had a few family members over and while the crew was making crafts in the basement, Angela slipped into a wedding dress and they set up an altar in the living room upstairs, overlooking the canyon they live in outside of Boulder.
So this wedding was the wedding celebration! Casual, creative and all together awesome. Angela, a theater buff, and Michael, a dude who's up for anything fun and creative and a healthy challenge, decided to put on a production of "A Prairie Home Companion" for their wedding. What?! Yes, you heard me right. And it was awesome.
Let's start with some portraits...

Starring their family and friends with an audience of .... well, more family and friends, these two along with surprise skits from their friends, crafted a hilarious, entertaining and tear-jerkingly sweet stage production performed at the Miner's Playhouse theater in Golden, Colorado. There were songs, there were skits, and there were vows. Repeating the same vows they exchanged at their wedding, they shared them this time with their greater community. And what vows they were! Michael's of a loving and Buddhist nature and Angela's including a wonderful song to Michael about how lucky she is. Oh man. I need to toughen up at these ceremonies.

The party continued with a cocktail hour in the lobby and then the three of us cruised out to the Washington area downtown in Golden for some portraits. Oh yea, and did I mention that Angela is pregnant? Yay!

Angela's iron fist.

A picnic party followed at Lions Park by Clear Creek, starring food from locals Frank's BBQ. Great party and great crew. Enjoy the photos!
