Lanae and Scott have asked me to shoot their fall wedding in the Denver, Colorado area. Huzzah! To get them warmed up with me as their wedding photographer and to help me capture them in the best way possible on their big day, we did an engagement photo shoot! I think of this like a "practice" shoot- both for me and them- so that it's just a normal thing we do together come their wedding day.  Union Station was a bit of a challenge being that is was St. Patrick's Day! But we seemed to avoid all the people in green and get some sweet engagement portraits of the lovely pair. Check out that sweet red dress- and all credit for the yellow flower goes to fiancé Scott!

Spin Summit | Flow Portraits

I was asked to film the Performer Showcase at Spin Summit in Black Forest, Colorado last week (near Colorado Springs) and decided to offer some on-site portraits of the participants as well.

The Spin Summit is a festival/conference for flow artists- folks who dance and perform with props such as hula hoops, poi, fire props and more. So many amazing and inspiring world-renowned artists were at this event. All skill levels were welcome and accommodated.

The event is run by my wonderful and talented friend and collaborator Danielle Odette who makes sure the event is run with love, quality and community.

Here's the first portrait I've finished editing. This is Savannah from Austin, Texas. She spins poi, hoop and staff.

Here are some of my faves with an old friend's new family.  We grew up together in Stamford, Connecticut and this was my first time meeting her new kiddo. These portraits were taken in Prospect Park in Park Slope, Brooklyn, New York. The leaves were just changing for autumn and baby was in a great mood! Yay! Check it out...

Darcy's Baby Belly Photography l Boulder, Colorado

Here are some shots of Darcy's amazing belly near her home in Boulder, Colorado. We used the South Boulder open space for these maternity shots, taking advantage of the changing fall colors and leaves. Her husband John joined us for some of the photos, so they could get a great Christmas card! Darcy is also a great photographer, so it was fun to collaborate with her!
